I. Updates
Unfortunately, Unigate.finance which was originally scheduled to IDO on Seedling January 28 has been postponed. The new tentative date is the second or third week of April 2022.
However sad that the first large IDO of Seedling’s post-launch history had such a choppy start, both the Seedling and Cherry Labs teams agree with this decision taken unilaterally by the Unigate Project. It will be our pleasure to see them grow and prosper in the following months and we will welcome them back to our platform when they deem it appropriate. They promised a post clarifying this decision. In the meanwhile, we took the liberty to disclose some of the factors that led to their decision which they relayed to us during our conversation:
- Unigate is a large project. It has a lot of moving parts. This is why we loved it so much in the first place! But for this very reason, the team felt its present timeline often did not align with the blockchain industry’s demanding fast pace. The team at Unigate is still growing, with new hires joining every week. It is backed by large corporate firms and private equity partners. This background is invaluable for the long term stability of the project but also imposes an exceptional burden on its team.
- The team at Unigate has been met with an overwhelming demand for partners and investors, which they want to sort and select methodically. For this reason, the Unigate team is prolonging their seed and private sales to allow for a rationed and paced onboarding of valued capital investors.
- The Unigate Platform is nearly ready for launch — but not just yet! Exceptionally in crypto (but actually common practice in any other industry), the Unigate team wants to launch to the public only after their DeFi products and platform are fully operational and used. They set themselves a formidable target of a minimum volume of $10m transactions per month executed through their platform before conducting an IDO. They expect to reach this target by mid-March.

This section will disclose the new entries to the Seedling platform, which are planned and finalized. Some have already been announced, in which case you may refer to their specific articles for more information; others will be announced shortly — you can either wait for their particular announcements or ask the team for more details.

AssetFi is building decentralized software to solve financial exclusion by providing a platform for converting physical assets, NFTs, and startups to tokens for micro-ownership by small investors. Using Chainlink’s oracle data sources, AssetFi can provide a best-in-class solution for digital and physical asset provenance like no other solution has or is doing yet. We will release more information about AssetFi today!

Cherish — The Creators Network
An exciting social network for artists built entirely on the Cherry Network. The team has collaborated with the Core team at Cherry Network for multiple months. They have been perfecting their product and waiting for sufficient stability in the Cherry Network before planning their launch. It seems like they are slowly deciding to pull the trigger. They told us their website would be live and usable within days, and we can expect some significant updates in their fundraising efforts very soon.

Bunkrs — Decentralized Anonymous File Storage
Think Dropbox, but in a decentralized, trustless, and anonymous setup. Bunkrs provides the highly scalable and available Cherry Network storage module to the public in an easy and accessible interface. While their product is not expected to drop for another few months, their private alpha is making waves in the Cherry community. This project is a SphereLink initiative and the Cherry Network core team supports it.

Artistry — Fractionable Bluechip Art
Discover a whole new asset class previously reserved for the rich and powerful. Bluechip art has grown at a whopping 11% annualized return rate for the past 70 years. This industry has given better returns than the broader market, yet it remains inaccessible to the public at large. Artistry aims to democratize access to bluechip art once and for all, allowing investments into pieces by authors like Rembrandt and Picasso from $10. The project is a SphereLink initiative.

IV. Conclusion
There’s a ton going on, and we want you to be involved. For this reason any new project we plan on onboarding will be required to interact with our community. We will organize AMAs with each of the IDO opportunities selected for onboarding the Seedling platform.
